    D6c oil pressure dropped

My cat d6c had a small oil leak up by the fan, I checked the oil level of the engine and was between add and full so I wanted to finish my job so I continued on. I monitored the oil pressure gauge, saw the oil pressure dropped, etc engine started sputtering aND stopped. No oil coming up to the...

    Plowing results

So last weekend we did our plowing. I should give alittle history first, the plow I got free from my uncle, it is not a ford plow but what I think is a IH, little Genius that someone converted to a mounted plow. I had quite a time getting it to follow me straight threw the field but it still...

    So much for plasma cutting...

Hands down water jet for smaller holes no comparison. Like you said holes should've been punched. The table at work has been down all week. Lightning burnt something up during a storm last week. We haven't been able to get an Esab tech out.

    Questions about old backhoes

Rent one first. We have a compact new holland (35hp) with a new holland backhoe attachment it's ok for what it is. It's a long way away from a true TLB. I'd stay away from the fill lines I've put quite a few new systems in and also repaired them, I understand your wanting to help but you can end...

    Hey DanR and Flambeau-one

I'm all for bigger. Land is so broken up around here it's hard to get any additional land that's connected to what you already have. Price increases dramatically when you ask around your neighbors it seems. I asked the guy I work with about Eidson he didn't know anything. He lived in Bulls Gap...

    Cherokee Lake Tn

Haven't heard of it, wish I could be of more help. Most places around TVA lakes cater to fishing tourism. I wouldn't worry about it. Of course I worked with a guy that told me of a community he couldn't remember the name of that his family wouldn't travel through because of a couple bad run ins...

    How to learn to weld

Take a class. Learn the right way the first time. If your trying to do it for a living the class will helps open a few doors maybe an apprenticeship. Our apprentices have to take a welding, blueprint reading and a math class just to be considered. I mean really it's not that expensive and you...

Professional weldors, what kind of helmet do you use?

Just welding, standard big lens Jackson. Arc gouging, we use an auto darkening fresh air hood. We have over exposure limits so the fresh air system is required by OSHA (I think it's a speed glass lens can't think of the name of the whole system though). I'm 33, usually use a Jackson or a fiber...

whos making all these brand x tractors?

Most of those x brand tractors would look more familiar with different sheet metal and stickers. We have a Shibaura, well it says New Holland either way same quality.

    What about this old cutter?

Check the gearbox and clutch, if they're useable use it. Seriously though get a guard for that pto shaft. Patch some holes, fix the tail wheel, and use it. A new ones gonna be the better part of a thousand and it will hurt much more to put a hole in a new one. My two cents

    Tractor show in Gray Tn.

I'll look for you there. My son and I will be there Friday evening, whole family for Saturday hopefully. Thought about pulling the loader back off my M to bring it but, it was a pain to get it on in the first place. I will probably bring it and hopefully my cub next year if everything works out.

    OT: Pistol Options

Just bought a .380 for concealed carry, shot the Ruger, Keltec, and the Taurus. Didn't care for the Keltec. The Rugers slide doesn't lock back after the last shot, but the Taurus does and is cheaper so that's what I purchased. I've put about 250 rounds through it so far and it fed everything...
