    NAA Hydraulic Ram wear

Merry Christmas all, I'm working on my Hyd top cover and found the Hyd Ram worn where the pin rides. Pin was worn to less than 50% so I'm getting ready to replace it. Looking for ideas about what to do with this Ram wear. File out the grooves and clean it up or does this need replacement...

    Jubilee rear axle bearing removal

Hello all, Quick question. To press off a Jubilee rear axle bearing do you press off over the axle threaded end or the other non threaded end? I've searched and searched but can't find anything. Any thing to be really careful of or is it straight forward, heat needed and new bearing put in...

    After Electrolysis

Alan, What I'm doing is spraying Ospho on the cast as I remove the paint to keep it from rusting. If I understand correctly it can stay on there until I'm ready to prime but I'd have to rewet with Ospho and then wash and dry really well before spraying the primer. Seems easy enough and having...

    After Electrolysis

Alan, All very good information there. I'm doing pretty much the same as your process with the exception of carbon / graphite rods. I haven't looked into the directions for removing Ospho before priming so thanks for the heads up on that. thank you for taking the time to reply This post...

    After Electrolysis

Thanks Showcrop. I've been spraying the cast with Oshpho as I get it down to bare metal to prevent flash rust. It's also one of the rust converters that you suggest. One thing is for sure, I'm putting in a lot of work. This post was edited by Flyguy30263 on 08/09/2021 at 09:06 am.

Stephen Newell, I am taking everything down to bare metal. You answered exactly what I had read and forgot about why to use epoxy and forget the etching primer. I'll look more closely at The rustoleum farm and implement paint and into the PPG MBC. I appreciate you taking the time to help...

    After Electrolysis

Good Morning all, First off I'm no painter but have started on a tractor restoration so I've got questions. Don't want to do something that'll make my paint fail. I'm still undecided about what paint I'll spray due to forced air respirators vs longevity of the color without fading. I've...

Ford "red" question I've had for awhile.

Showcrop I've not been on this site much in the last few years. Life got in the way of me restoring my tractor. I got tired of having to borrow my Dads and I need my tractor out of the shop so I'm determined to get it done. Started stripping paint and found orange paint and started...

Ford "red" question I've had for awhile.

Showcrop thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I've ever read Vermillion Red was the color all the way thru the XOO's but that's good enough info for me. I really like Vermillion Red and would have had a hard time painting an Orange/Red.
