    Breather cap leaks? (IH 330)

thanks all- So I understand it... Th breather cap is not stock by any means, and its unclear why its been brazed over-- unless the braze is just a sloppy job of making a custom breather cap. The tank level does rise when the pump is turned on, hinting at some type of foaming (since there's no...

    Breather cap leaks? (IH 330)

Here's the photo of the "after" of running with that plug out. It was a straight stream. Looked like a guiness being poured off a tap. Also attaching a photo of what i think is the PTO clutch lever and a disconnect fitting under which might be an aux connection?

    Breather cap leaks? (IH 330)

Phew-- OK-- you guys asked some good questions that might me re-evaluate what i have here. Let me fix a few things i said: There are actually two hydraulic reservoirs. One under the seat, and one behind it. They appear separate. The one under the seat connects to the rear PTO pump-- which...

    Breather cap leaks? (IH 330)

Not sure what's wrong here, but i can't see this thread in modern view. I click on it but none of the text or photos are visible. I'm replying in classic view-- adding some photos.

    Breather cap leaks? (IH 330)

Sounds silly. I figured the cap is supposed to well breathe-- I've only had the tractor a year and its my first so still learning the basics. If i drive it around the yard and lift the bucket up and down a few times we get some hydraulic oil coming out the breather cap. It's a reasonable...

    Leaking axle seals

Thanks all-- this is helpful Couple dumb questions still rattling around-- would filling the reservoir too high cause the axles to leak? Is running cornhead crease in a transmission a horrible idea? (guessing yes but...have to ask)

    Leaking axle seals

I would looooove to see some photos of this process on your tractor! So the really basic question-- How does one manage a fully loaded wheel? I'm picturing-- loosen bolts, jack up rear of tractor, try like hell to get the rusted wheel off the rusted tractor-- and then what-- use an engine...

    Leaking axle seals

    Leaking axle seals

hey guys- I have another newbie question. For my IH 330, the rear axles leak, even when sitting. Not enough where it ever runs dry, but i imagine it would eventually. More importantly, gear oil smells awful and its seeping into the soil-- and my wife would like it to stop leaking. Looks...

FEL cylinders - to rebuild or replace

Big thanks to wore out. I tightened up those bolts on the end, and it seems to be done leaking. I also hit the rusted part with a wire brush and a can of T9. You just saved me so much $$ and headache. I love this group.

FEL cylinders - to rebuild or replace

You guys are awesome. So much good stuff in here. I realize the rods look pretty rusty. When you extend the cylinder the stuff that hits the seal is shiny. I think most of that rust just got knocked off or the oil protected them OK. I'll try tightening the bolts down and see where that...

FEL cylinders - to rebuild or replace

Hey all, I picked up this 330 last fall for moving snow. It's got an front end loader on it, but I'm not sure it's from IH/farmall. The cylinders seem old enough. The rods are well rusted and they leak a reasonable amount, mostly just a constant drip. I can't find any markings on them to...

    Zenith Carb (12225) replacement jets?

Updating for posterity. I was able to remove the jets by drilling out. It was a little messy so i had to retap the holes. New jets went in just fine. I ordered them from Kuhn's tractor in NY. This thing was super nasty inside. I'm pretty happy I tore it out. Jet drills sound like a...
