Ford 7000 with pieces of needle bearing that fell out when draining oil

I have an English version 7000. It hasn't run in years. The motor is tired. I'm fairly sure it has the load monitor. I can look today. I'd sell the tractor. Im in southern middle Tennessee. 75 miles south of Nashville.

    Ford 4600 high gear issues

Does this tractor have independent PTO? If it does, the hub in the flywheel maybe stripped. However, it should not move in the low gears.

Debating if a SoS is worth the “risk” for loader work

Get a 5 speed! Reverse and third are at the top of the shift pattern. Best loader transmission with a clutch there ever was. Of course, this was back in the day before these shuttle shift tractors.

    High houred 8970

I sincerely hope it works out for you. I had an 8670 and an 8770, Purchased both tractors fairly cheap. Never got them in the field. Both had transmission problems. I worked on them for as far as I could go. I called a tech in. He took my service manuals home and read up on how to repair them...

    Correct 1960 641 Parts Question

Is it possible to have a machine shop turn the original crankshaft? We have a 9600 that was purchased with a spun connecting rod bearing. It was sent to a machine shop. They built up the bad journal and turned it down. It is still running today. Just a thought.

good and bad about select o speed..

I wish my dad was alive so he could weigh in on the SOS. He liked the concept of the power shift transmission. He got in the Ford tractor business in 1958. He pushed the Gold Demonstrators and they started failing right and left. He got out of the tractor business when the first 6000's came out...

    5000 Hydraulic pump

If the tractor has a remote valve, you can plug a gauge into one of them and get a fairly accurate reading.

We'e Back To Working On The 8670 And 8770

I got the 8770 modules back and put them in. We tried calibrating the transmission today. F1 was 62, F2 was 88, reverse would not calibrate. It would go to 99 and EL code would pop up. We're thinking the reverse clutch pack is bad. We'll be testing the 8670 tomorrow. We have pressure gauges...

We'e Back To Working On The 8670 And 8770

You can look up the past threads where I'm trying to repair the 8670. The 8770 will be discussed also. 8670: Tractor has 13000 hours on it. valve stack on back rebuilt. Hydraulic couplings, repacked. Brake seals in both rear axles. At that time, we cleaned the filter in the bottom of the axle...

    'Inherited' not running 6610

Take the pump to a diesel shop. They'll put it on a test stand and tell you what is wrong. Your tractor is worth a pump rebuild.

    TW35 Overheating Problems.

I can hear the roar you are talking about. I replaced the clutch because I was told at operating temp, the clutch should be locked. It was not. I had thought about the cap. I'll replace that. No chance to work on it today. Plans are to make sure the radiator is clean externally.

    TW35 Overheating Problems.

I saw no problem with the crank pulley. All belts seem to stay in the groves just fine.

    TW35 Overheating Problems.

My TW35 MFWD tractor wants to overheat while pulling a Kinze 12/24 planter. I have never had any problem with it in the past. I know its overheating because when it gets in the red, water starts coming out the overflow. The radiator was flow checked when the motor was rebuilt about 8 years ago...
