    Ok thanks Jim. I actually drained the oil when housing the tractor about 2-3 years ago… not sure why I did that I think I was planning on refilling and trying to start but didn’t. Do you reckon I should just hook the battery up and try start (when I’ve the oil put back of course)

    Okay thanks Terry this I can do. So if i can get one back wheel off the ground and rock it, and the fan at the front moves even slightly, then I should be okay to try starting the tractor?
