Valve Lifter Tapping

Considering going to look at a Ford 2000 gas in a few days. late 60's model. Question... Owner states "Valve lifter tapping but quietens after warm". Looking for pointers and what this could mean. Is it just a problem that a little valve adjustment is all that is needed? Or is this a bad...

Mice

I had a bad rat problem last year with my tractor wiring at the hunting club. Picked up a pack of Fresh Cab from Tractor supply and put them all in the dash and on battery tray. Worked like a charm. Just in case someone wants to try it...

Top Dead Center?

I guess tomorrow, I will try again and clean the rust spots with gas and a small brush while I turn the engine. With any luck hopefully I will find the marks... If I can get it timed to the right spot then I can move forward with trouble shooting. Should there be marks on the flywheel right...

Top Dead Center?

Once your figer feels the compression on number one hole, how many bumps of the starter are marks located. Trying to figure out if i put the distribitor in when I feel compression if that would be close

Top Dead Center?

Everything I have looked at says there should be a "0" for top dead center but I am hoping this is it. Not sure if I am missing the mark or it is just not there. Here is a little history... The tractor ran fairly well, but sounded like it was missing. I adjusted the carb with no luck. Felt that...

Top Dead Center?

Does this look like a Top dead center mark? Cant find any other marks on the flywheel.... Took number one spark plug out, turned engine until I felt compression, then turned more until I saw this mark. Cant find any more marks... This is a Ford 8n side distributor 1952
