Some pictures from the Gadsden AL show today

I was sorry that I wasn't able to attend. It sure was a very nice show last year. Maybe next year for me. Thanks for the pictures.

    Road bands on tractors

The bands will be going on this 1929 Farmall. Weighs about 3500#. I have good lug wheels which I will put on this tractor and add road bands. The tire tread attempt in the picture is the roughest riding thing imaginable. Thanks everyone for the replies.

    Road bands on tractors

Anyone have pictures of road bands on steel wheels? I'm wondering how they are attached. I don't want to weld them on. Thanks.

    Mcdonaldcarb closing?

Yeah, I couldn't afford the HTA model. But I have that fixed now. Former owner had gotten sheet metal from somewhere.

    What is it?

the man that gave it to me asked if I knew what it was? I said wagon brake, and he nodded, so I thought I was in the ballpark. some of the hills around here would probably need one under both back wheels to be able to slow the wagon from pushing the horses too badly.

    Mcdonaldcarb closing?

Closing would be a real loss to the system. I have been amazed at the depth of parts and combos available for several Farmalls of mine. I even needed a kit with a new choke shaft for an H that I was bringing back to life, and they had same.

    Red Ford combine

I finally remembered to measure it. 66", puts it just 6" less cut from yours.

    What grass for pasture?

In 2001, I seeded down acreage for rotational grazing for our dairy herd. Seeding recommendation consisted of ladino clover and orchardgrass. Which made me laugh because I remembered my Dad using the same species for pasture in the mid 1950s. Worked well both times.

    Red Ford combine

it was about 6 miles away, mostly roads with wide shoulders. I wasn't sure the combine tires would last that long a trip on the blacktop. My trailer deck tilts up, we put my winch on the front of the deck, my friend found the appx center of width underneath, we pulled it on with the heavy side...

    Red Ford combine

Well, it is here now. Dunno what I will do with it, but at least my friend's shed has more room now. Model 16-47 combine. Someone stole the unloading auger and part of the ScourClean. Strange.

Selling consecutive serial number JD tractors?

I have a pair of Farmall 200s with consecutive serial numbers. They came to this farm about 5 years apart, in fact I owned them for several more years before I realized they were consecutive and not just handy tractors to use. In tracing back, I found they both were purchased from the same local...

Literature---1932 Farmall Tractor and Equipment Brochure Pt. 2

very interesting info, and timely, too. I have a 1926 Farmall that I have been taking to shows and parades this summer. It runs like a champ, after I learned to open the fuel shutoff wide enough that it isn't starving for gas on a hill. The cost info on the last 2 pages were great.
