I figured out the issue this morning. I isolated the injector pump by putting a fuel line from a 5 gallon can with a pump and filter directly to the injector pump. This bypassed my fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel filters, etc. It started up and ran fine. I found a hole in one of the fuel lines and...- forthga

I have a 750 combine with a Delphi CAV injector pump. The problem begin as a hard to start issue and at times would surge as though it was not getting enough fuel. Ford 8000 Dual Power PTO Issue
Is there anything I need to be aware of with the Dual Power valve? It is operating well. But since it has to be removed, I am guessing I need to disassemble to check for wear. -

Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge, that is helpful. I was hoping to not have to split the tractor, but based on what you state it appears that’s what I should do. I did plan to rebuild the whole clutch pack while I had it removed. -

The repair manual is a little unclear to me, but it appears for the 8000 the PTO clutch assembly can be removed from that hole. I would just like to confirm from someone that knows for sure. 1972 Ford 8000 Remote Cylinder Drift
Implements attached to my remotes will drift down whether the tractor is running or off. I?ve hooked another tractor to the same implements and they won?t drift down, which I would think would eliminate the remote cylinder as a problem. Could the problem be in the tractor remote control valve? -
