Revisit Ford 861 Fuel Injectors
The pump has just been rebuilt. After 20 years the notorious flex ring had given it up. The shop told me that I should have the injectors tested and probably rebuilt at the time. I have just been putting off the inevitable. -

Revisit Ford 861 Fuel Injectors
The engine has a light "spudder" coming from one of the cylinders plus they probably at least need cleaned after 20 years. The shops here want $30 to test the injectors. I think I am going to bit the bullet and have mind rebuilt. A little expensive but it will hopefully solve the problem. Thanks... -

I have had the tractor about 20 years without any major problems. It started running a little rough and found out it was a pump problem. I have had the fuel pump rebuilt. Can anyone tell me what fuel injectors will work properly in an 861. There seems to be a lot of different numbers tossed around on the net and none match the part number listed in the original Ford Parts List for the 861.- Fouroaks
