    LGT 145

Veddy intadesting....remember Rowan and Martin's Laugh In? haha Anyway, this is a very viable option, thanx. Although it pained me to do so I added the Pertronix EI to a friends '49 8N, with the help of some gurus on here! There was some questions about the amount of resistance I was getting, I...

    LGT 145

Yes I pulled the plunger all the way out, the cam side looked a little worn but not much -how can you tell how much? How long are these things spose to be? It stalled out on me when I was running it in the back of course, towed it with the wheeler back to the garage. Unfortunately for me this...

Be nice if just replacing the plunger with a slightly longer one would do the trick. You know what I mean? If the cam lobe gets worn and fails at the same rate on every engine, it would be alot easier a fix.

Thank you, I've been chatting with the gurus and the consensus is I will be needing the camshaft that actuates the points, and plunger and any thing else that I might need when I perform this task & opening up the Kohler K321 serial# 9227110. I have not yet opened it up and might not for a...

    LGT 145

Not sure I follow you about the drilling. Would that be only if I couldnt get a plunger replacement in the correct size, drill it out and use something else with the correct length? Anyway I'll have to put it aside for now to play catch up. Thanx for the help

    LGT 145

I was getting ready to try a new plunger I wonder if that would compensate enough b4 I have to tear into it. The more I dig into researching it looks like it is a fairly common problem, which doesnt explain why I'm seeing so little in the manuals that you can see online

    LGT 145

Sorry. I was venting. I know there is no magic bullet. I have no right to expect anything online. I am frustrated too, all I wanted to do was sell the tractor. I got a million other things I would rather and should be doing and fate took it in another direction but trust I will figger it out.

    LGT 145

Thanx for your help. But I would challenge you to show me anything on this issue. I have spent hours online and dont find anything definitive. I just wanted to sell this tractor now I gotta tear it apart first. Check this out, I found this post on another forum about a guy who had the same issue...

    LGT 145

Thanx, yer right- I didnt tell the engine, was sleepy this morning when doing research, and I didnt know either if the other thread was being watched by any gurus beside the ones there.
