Hey Norman thanx for reaching out, as life happens I may have already decided to just sell it, they are building 150 new homes across the road from me and I'm liquidating stock so's I can get outta Dodge. Reverse Polarity check
May or may not agree Jim. Full discloser- I did try to start it right after I put it back together and it didnt pop, IDK if that had anything to do with it, but when I tried the instructions above and got a spark it turned right over. Ferguson 30 Steering Linkage broken. How to Fix?
Have you performed this task yet? I'm finishing it up now on my TO 30 not only were the tie rod ends bad but the steering gear as well and that is a handful. I was gonna say be careful if you take both rear tie rod ends off, when you do if the sectors inside travel too far they will disconnect...- fOXTOOTH

That IS what I am talking about~ viewing the pic in the parts catalogue does not show the clamps and the bolts/nuts. So if I were to view the arrangement of parts, I would not be able to see said parts. Jussayin, not bringing your wisdom to question. I am not privy to the printed wording...- fOXTOOTH

Amateur Hour: TO-30 splitting
I'm sorry I caught this thread at the end of your adventure in pain because I did that split for the sole reason the transmission end of the main shaft seal had failed and the hydraulic fluid was fouling out the starter. Interestingly enough I was able to view the parts book on my 52 TO30 steering and it does not show or mention the way the sectors are attached to the steering arms with clamps and bolts/nuts- fOXTOOTH

Nice looking tractors. Mine is pretty ruff, I bought it that way and have used it to plow fields, haul firewood, grade and mow so it is worth it to me to tackle this steering issue - no matter how many cuss words it takes! Im assuming you did an R&R on the TO30 steering?- fOXTOOTH
