TO30 - brake spring placement - no colors on the springs

I have recently completely overhauled my TEA 1953 brakes. The Brake Centralisers were both broken, however while I was in there I replaced all springs as a precaution and shoe linings. The retaining springs I removed were coloured Blue and Red. Agriline UK supplied four new springs, no colours...

    New Generator Alignment

Yes Charles, the wet Winter has certainly seen the grass grow. I have done 12 of the 15 acres, it's that last 3 I need to do. I could put the old one back on I suppose, but when I said it had seized, I didn't paint a very good picture. I am still awaiting quotes for it's repair. L.O.L.. I'm not...

    New Generator Alignment

Thank you all for your ideas and comments. Agreeing with Tony and with time of the essence with three acres still to slash and the fire danger season started as of 1st December, I did as Charles suggested and removed the spacer and inserted a thin washer. The alignment is better but still out. I...

    New Generator Alignment

TEA 20 1953 Following the original generator seizing up and purchase of a new replacement and pulley, the belt alignment is off about 5mm or 1/4 inch + or -. I had also replaced the water pump pulley (secondhand) which had lost the front face of the pulley and a new fan belt. The new generator...

Groove in axle at the oil seal position - TO30

I had similar issues. The left hand was a real oily mess. I had both axles "metal sprayed" and then turned down to spec. A$160.00 for both. I had investigated "speedi sleeves", the cost was not going to be much different and I reasoned the build-up was a better move. With the TEA not much younger...

    Parking brake latch

This is quite an interesting private site. He has a good description of what he did to install his brake, together with a video of its operation. http://www.ploughmyfield.com/2011/01/14/brake-latch-upgrade/ Untitled URL Link

    Question about warning light TEA20

My 1953 TEA20 had a warning light with that coil on it. It was in bad shape, with the coil broken and globe burnt out, so I replaced it with a rubbishy looking aftermarket one. Seeing I never throw anything away, I probably still have the old one to take a photo of! Frank

    what have i acquired?

Thomas(AB) I would like what you have hanging off the back. I have a "53 TEA and I presume your tractor handles it OK. I have 15 acres (6Ha) of light sandy loam country and I imagine that disc cultivator would be ideal. What is the size, manufacturer and does anybody in Australia know similar...
