John Deere 350 dozer Injection Pump Issues.

Air in the injection pump will cause rpm hunting but not complete runaway. Rpm should stabilize with in a minutes run time.

    GM trucks today.

The GM 6.2L recall is for real. Engines produced from 2021 to sometime in 2024 or around 800,000. This is not a voluntary recall but forced by NHTSA. The engine may or may not be replaced. If not replaced the engine oil (0-W20) will be replaced with 0-W40. If a new engine is installed it will be...

Roosa master injection pump not delivering fuel after rebuild!

You can fix your injector pump. Ignore the naysayers. Rotary injection pumps are simple. You have likely got something out of place on the fuel cutoff.

Would you get a Belarus for land clearing/management

Belarus tractors are not for everybody. You will be the mechanic and parts person as you likely can not find anyone else to do it. That said I have used a Belarus 800 since 1984. It is the only Belarus tractor I have operated. On this tractor the function of the controls are not obvious in many...

With brake material in your hydraulic system you have no choice but to inspect all brakes. Contaminated hydraulic fluid is the usual cause of brake lining loss. This will require the handling of very heavy parts. Not a bad job if you have facilities to handle the parts.

    Rebuilding an injector pump

I am glad that I was part of this forum when JDMaris was also a part as his encouragement has allowed me to fix several injector pumps. I find rotary injection pumps to be fairly simple and straight forward. I would go so far as to say if you can not disassemble and reassemble a rotary...

    Rebuilding an injector pump

Twenty or so years ago there was a poster on this forum that went by "JDMaris". He had been a Deere mechanic. He encouraged people to work on their own injection pumps. He said most of the pump problems could be fixed on the tailgate of your truck. In the past this forum has helped and...

    Rebuilding an injector pump

Of course you have seen bad pumps. But if they all needed heads and rotor there would be no core pumps to rebuild. The rotary pumps are simple robust pumps that mostly need simple repairs. Why do you not want people to fix any problem with there pump?

    Rebuilding an injector pump

My experience has been different. But I do not have any financial gain involved.

    Rebuilding an injector pump

It could be the head and rotor shot. But it also could be the vane pump or the regulator for the pump. Every pump problem is not a major repair.

    Rebuilding an injector pump

You can fix the pump if you have moderate mechanical skills. As long as you don't change the stroke length of the plunger there is not much to adjust. I would suspect the vane pump. This pump is just inboard from the fuel inlet. You can easily test for a bad vane pump by suppling fuel under...

    1988 John Deere 2355

If the pump is not damaged it will not be hurt by going to the effort to get a good fuel supply in to the pump. The only down side to continuing efforts to make the tractor run is if it runs you may not get to repair the pump.
