    Block is cracked in a place not wise to repair.. Looked for a 9N block. Not much there. Looks like an 8N-B will be taking its place. Hydraulics out and being rebuilt. Top lid is next. Transmission has been rebuilt stem to stern.

    Upper Steering Shaft Bearing Race : I need help

    I fixed it. For those that may actually need help, I found heating it was not enough. After heat, I used a nut and washer to coerce it into place. This removed a majority of the slop.

    Thank you I am doing the YT steering rebuild kit to replace all races, bearings and the cups. I have the bottom cup and bearing seated on the shaft. All races in the steering column. The top bearing cup is my concern on the shaft. How far does it go down or in what manner do you nstall...

    I keep mine I'm cardboard, too! I will place them as I got them, so the bolts even go back to the same holes. I ordered some through Bolt Depot. Should be quick to get to me. They are MA. I'm in MD.

    Hood needed sanitized.. POR15 on rusty areas.. waiting for a big red Oxide Primer paint day.

    Steering column was sandblasted, cleaned, etch primed, first coat of color and new races, bearings and cups installed.

    All front axle stripped, sandblasted and wirewheeled clean, all old bushings out and new hardware ready to drive in. Tapped the zerk holes, cleaned fittings.

    Lots of work.. just not updating this thread..but some may be interested. Fuel tank had some hardware skoshi Inside fuel tank were some hardware bits. Cleaned, POR15 then had a can of paint to spray.. to help protect the POR15 From UV sensitivity.

    I see YT is out of the water pump kit. Doing an overhaul, I would like the full kit. Is the water pump the hold up> part number at NAPA?

    Replace with pins or bolt with nut? Bolts were used for mine. They were bent and threads wore off. Clearly need replaced.
