Pickup bed probably holds about as much as the combine hopper. Just swing the chute and fill 'er up. -

Carburetor leaking
What Old says is in fact true, I've done it also. Think about it: if you run the engine about 3/4 throttle and suddenly totally block off the air intake, what happens? A big slug of gas is introduced into the engine. Where does the gas come from? Um, the carb bowl, right? Sometimes that's enough... -

Well that's only .030" (half of 1/16") of metal removed, but I'd check with some one more knowledgeable about this first. -

Tiger 134 Air Cleaner
Showcrop has it right for the way Ford tractor air filters work, and they work very well when used as intended. Only thing I can add is that a lighter oil, like 10w or 20w works best in cold weather. My '51 Chevy truck has an oil bath air cleaner, but works on a little different principle. Air... -

Ford Tactor 801SOS
Just for informational purposes, here's the way I ran my return line back into the hydraulic reservoir on my 871. I'm using a simple diverter valve to run a log splitter that has it's own control lever on it. It all works well, but running the return line into the filler cap was the easiest way... -

Front tires ?
All I can tell you is that I have 6.50 X 16" Carlisle 3 rib tires on the front of my 871, and have been very happy with them. Purchased locally. -

3 point issue
Assuming you have the correct hydraulic oil in it, kind of sounds like your hydraulic pump is tired. Try taking a hair dryer and warming up the pump for a couple of minutes before starting the tractor and see if that helps. If it does, you know where the problem is. I had the same issue with my... -
