    C radiator question

I have a '51 C that I use now and then. It sits in a three sided open barn. I went out to fire it up the other day and saw the radiator cap was missing. I'm not sure if I took it off and forgot a few months ago (even though I can't find it anywhere) or if I have a neighbor that needed one...

    49 Cub Wiring Help

I have a 49 Cub that the wiring is a mess on. Can someone direct me to a good wiring diagram and what gauge of wires to use? It's original 6V positive ground with a generator and regulator. Here's a pic of the back of the switch, can someone tell me what all the screws to the back of the...

    Super A starting

Thanks David. I will check that out. Just curious, why would you expect an issue with the points?

    Super A starting

My Dad's Super A always use to start easy until here lately. The only way it will start now is if you have the throttle all the way closed and the choke open at first. You have to crank on it several times then it fire and some more cranking then it will start to run choppy until it warms up...

    8N head bolts

Wow, thank you Tim and Ken. That's a lot to take in. This is an 8N engine and the serial number from I can tell is 8N 1023?6 (it's hard to read) so I am betting it had studs originally. I think for simplicity I will just get the bolts that Bruce suggested and will go 20-45-65 in the order...

    8N head bolts

What is the correct size and length for head bolts for a 1948 8N? Grade 8 ok? Should I use a washer? Bought the motor in pieces and head was off. I do not have the old ones to go by. Thanks.

    JD B shifting question

Grew up on a 520 and an MT. Didn't work on them much. This B is very nice. Reverse works. I mispoke eariler and 3rd works fine. It's just that one slot. I will try it with the clutch slightly engaged. I remember doing that woth our 520. I just wondered if this was a common thing or not.

    JD B shifting question

It runs great. I can drive it in the other gears. Thats the only issue with it. Pulley works fine too. I will try pushing the clutch in some to get into gear. If it dont go, what could it be? He's not going to let it go for scrap price.

    JD B shifting question

So to clarify, it wont go in the 1st or 5th slot regardless if in low or high. The rest of the gears work fine. Thanks!

    JD B shifting question

Yes three spots plus high or low. Just like you said for earily B. I dont think the guy will let me take the shift cover off but I can ask. Im just wondering what could cause this. I'm a novice on JD.

    JD B shifting question

Tractor is on rubber. I dont think it's blocked out. It will go into 6th. It will not go into 1st or 5th (low or high). Could that be something with the shifting forks?
