MF35 Perkins Getting Air into Fuel Lines

Thats a good point about the system pressure. I do have system pressure after hand pumping. I am going to take it back to basics and hopefully my brain and eyes are in tune so I can see where this pesky air is coming from.

MF35 Perkins Getting Air into Fuel Lines

I will trace it out tomorrow. What I can tell is if I crack the bleeder on filter 1 which is right after the lift pump I get air. Today I was in a rush so diagnostics were minimal...and I wouldn't bet my life on the location of the air but I do think there was air at the first filter. I think...

MF35 Perkins Getting Air into Fuel Lines

Is there a common spot that my tractor could be sucking in air into the fuel lines. Long story short I had to replace the seal on the side of the CAV pump and now after I bleed the tractor of air it will start and run for between 1 to 10 minutes and then shut off. To restart requires a bleed...

Leaking from bottom seam of fuel filters (diesel MF/TO 35)

All old seals removed. New ones installed. I am tightening with a 7/16" wrench so not really too crazy tight but certainly firm and tight. I guess I could make sure the lower cups aren't warped or damaged maybe they aren't fully flat for some reason.

Leaking from bottom seam of fuel filters (diesel MF/TO 35)

So if i have the o-rings on the posts and a seal on the top and bottom of each filter then I have them installed correctly? I guess I could crank down on the bolts to really pinch the seals hard. Anything else I am missing? I might just have to replumb this whole thing with 1 spin on fuel...

Leaking from bottom seam of fuel filters (diesel MF/TO 35)

Thank you! Looks like the suggestion was those center o-rings which I did replace this time. Anything else it could be? I don't have the glass bowl below either of my filters just a metal cup on both filters.

Leaking from bottom seam of fuel filters (diesel MF/TO 35)

Long time no see folks! I guess because the MF 35 has been running daily and just fine. I did some preventative maintenance today by cleaning the sediment bowl, and both fuel filters. I installed the upper seals and bowl seals on each filter. Also replaced the o-ring on each fuel filter...

What Massey is Hydro Drive and Massey 35 size?

Currently use and love my diesel Massey 35 but thinking I want one without a clutch pedal too. Which old Massey tractor would be about MF35 size, hydro/automatic, and diesel?

What am I doing wrong with my Perkins fuel filters?

Those seals that go inside, 8 and 21, I dont think my filters came with those. That might be what I need to fix the leak. Weird thing is the leak seems to be coming from the outside seal at the bottom but haven't really paid attention.

What am I doing wrong with my Perkins fuel filters?

Oh I totally agree. I just don't want to redo that mess of hard lines. I already eliminated that starter device in the intake because I didn't want that running in my intake after the hot tank and reman on my head...the engine just always starts. I could just disconnect the leaky one. My...

What am I doing wrong with my Perkins fuel filters?

I have 2 fuel filters on my Perkins MF35. One of them is ok the other leaks. I know I have the big o-rings in correct but not sure about the smaller one. Does it go up on the shaft inside the filter or on top under the bolt? Is there an adapter or something to make it a spin on filter? I...

How do I attach this to my MF35 CAT 1 hitch

They are fixed length bars...I need to move the mount link around until they are the correct length or find adjustable bars. I bought 1 adjustable bar but it was quite light duty. Hope to find something more robust soon.

How do I attach this to my MF35 CAT 1 hitch

Do you put a threaded stabilizer link on both sides? Or just run 1 and have the attachment sorta swing to the side?

How do I attach this to my MF35 CAT 1 hitch

Would you guys just put some pins in the bottom link locations to mount this back blade to my cat 1 hitch? Also what is the best way to keep it from swaying left to right? The chains on the back of my tractor aren't anchored the best so I am looking for some bars to stabilize. I have some but...
