    D17 governor issue?

I agree governor failure. You should be able to remove the governor or a governor cover pretty easily on that engine and see if you have two weights and springs on the shaft. Don't run it until you rule the governor out, loose weights will destroy timing gears and they are not cheap.

    Can I cut this glass?

If by "standard cutting wheel" you mean an abrasive metal or masonry cutoff wheel probably not at least not without going thru a lot of blades. Diamond wheel as mentioned maybe. To do it mechanically I would say a tile saw would be a better way to go. If it is a single piece of glass and not...

    Sounds like an exhaust leak.

    Allis Chalmers wc questions

I can't help you much on the rims. I have never seen rear rims like those before. The fronts may very well be allis rims/cutoffs since early WCs did have spoke rims, but that is definitely not a factory wide front on it. Without hearing it myself the noise you describe is probably bad exhaust...

Any of you have an allis U or UC that you restored or still use?

I have a 38 U that runs but not restored.

    Identify tractor

Definitely NOT an Allis Chalmers. It may be a Wallis. I am leaning towards something Farmall, but in all actuality I would say it is a 1920s orphan tractor.

    Wd spindle

I do not know where you can get a new one but there are plenty of used ones that pop up in a google search.

    snap coupler

There should be a spring that automatically holds it up. I don't know where it is located, if no one chimes in soon I will try to google its location. It should be on the latch/hook itself but may be at the base of the release handle.

Long 360 no power to rear wheels?

I agree with being meticulous on the tear down and reassembly. A misplaced, forgotten or accidently damaged part will cause you way more problems than you already have.

Long 360 no power to rear wheels?

This just a guess since I not familiar with long tractors or that style of differential, but it looks like you will have to remove the snap rings that hold the shafts in the side gears. Remove both shafts and the differential should come out. Once that is out you can remove the ring gear and...

Long 360 no power to rear wheels?

I watched your video again and I see what you mean. The little gears which are called planetary gears have too much free play. You will have to remove that pin that they are on and roll them out. You either need to replace/add some shims or the differential carrier spread/cracked and will...

Long 360 no power to rear wheels?

Are both wheels on the ground with pressure on them in the video? If yes, then you definitely have a problem with one of the bull pinion shafts. With both wheels on the ground the side gears should be doing the same thing, in your video you will notice that the left gear is staying put and the...

Long 360 no power to rear wheels?

Since you have not found any evidence of damage. I would say you either have a broken shaft or stripped splines. I say work from both ends and meet in the middle. What I consider easiest to hardest. You pulled the final drives, so I assume you already looked over the stub axles and bull gear...
