    Header trailers.

That's why I ended up just making mine. It would have been no cash out of pocket , but I decided to put new bushings, bearings, and seals on the running gear. I lifted the head all the way up, put the safety stop on the cylinder, drug the running gear under it, and got to measuring. Dad and I...

    453 detroit oil leak

Pull the head and replace the square cut o-rings between the head and engine. What are you working on? Tie handler, ballast regulator, TKO, tamper?

    1 3/16 wrench

Got two of them in my company truck, and I use them at least once a week. Now I have a question for you. Why are you so curious about the size of my wrench, and how often I use it?

    line of credit

When I expanded (went from 10 acres to 60 nothing huge) I didnt want to have all my money tied up till harvest so I started checking around. I ended up with a small line of credit at the local co-op(southern states) thats due every month, and a 60K line of credit from JD Financial that that...

Need to clear some trees, what should I use??

Im a little late to the thread, but Ill weigh in. For small tree's a dozer with a root rake is hard to beat. No they aren't absolutely necesary, but the amount of topsoil you will push off without a rake is unfreaking believable. For anything over 8 or 10 inches i get the trackhoe out. Im in the...

OT:Does your son like ANYTHING you do? long rant

Im not a father, but I can remember being 13 fairly well(im 31 now), and the next hand full of awkward years. I pretty much despised him, and he was thoroughly disgusted with me up until I was 16. I laid awake wondering why me, and I heard him and mom discussing where he/ they had went wrong...

    Good Tools

Animal, I thought you were just doing a little tool truck lusting! I had no idea you were restocking from the fire. If I remember right it was around this time last year? Is the insurance company jerking you around, or does it just take this long to make it all happen?

    Good Tools

They are expensive, but if you bend wrenches for a living you cant really afford not to invest in them. Once you buy in though, as a rule you can put your wallet away, cause they will last a lifetime/and or are warrantied for life. One obvious exception would be spendy scan tool updates.

D4c or D4c XL Series II

If you are going to need a winch, you better get the one that already has it. I think you would be very hard pressed to put a winch on the 20k unit for 5k. I say this because I fell into a deal on a dozer identical to mine, with a shot UC. The parts dozer had a winch that I have no use for so I...

    Old-school radiator repair...

I've never soldered one, but I have cut them, and crimped them with success. Most recent was a 6.7L Cummins in a ballast plow. Once we had a replacement radiator in hand the other mechanic and I decided to see how long it would hold. I cut, and crimped it in late January, had to add a...

    WHITE Planter question.

I have a OLD White 5400 plantaire. I ordered some new no-till coulters, fert openers, and seed openers from Sloan's. I also need the stainless steel strip/seal that the outside of the seed disc rotates on. The best I can figure from my parts book, and agcoparts I need what they call a facing...

Poorly/improperly installed aftermarket stereo equipment, tv's, dvd players, video games, and whatever else the latest fad in ghetto style is the number one cause of vehicle fires.
