All kinds of bearings: alternator, power sterring, air conditioner, water pump, idler(s). Take serpentine belt off and see if noise goes away.

    Case SC Ground

The generator works either way and the regulators are "usually" marked as to voltage and polarity on the underside. Search for polarizing, it involves sparking the armature tab and battery tab of the regulator before starting the tractor.

    Case SC Ground

A generator doesn't know + from - that is why they must be "polarized" before starting the machine.

    DC3 Wiring

There really isn't much wiring to a DC, one wire from the voltage regulator to the ammeter. That pole of the ammeter also has the feed wire for the light switch, the other pole of the ammeter connects to the battery side of the start switch, the other side of the start switch goes to the...

    case dc

The DC used a Case 4JMA magneto. Many Fairbanks-morse FM_ (L,J,X) models will also work.

    JD B E85

What MSD says plus you MAY have to open the load and idle needles some. I'm not sure if the gas/distillate carb had bigger jets or smaler ones, but you will need a little tweaking with the needles to get peak performance.

    Farmall F-20

These were a throttle control before someone "updated" the governor. If you look at the front of the tube from the carb there shoud be a lever with a hole in it that used to be the throttle control. Case 730 stops moving after 500 feet

So exactly why is it THAT DARN CASEOMATIC when the operator doesn't know where to do a basic first step of checking all the fluids before starting the tractor, car, truck ???? Some of us have been using COMs for 50 years without any problems, of course we did read the manual (the book that...

    haybaling costs?????

Wow, dave; 20-25 pound bales ? Is that a norm ? We usually go 60+ or some of the little horsey girls wanted max 40 pounders.

JD semi-mount one row corn picker

That would be a model 101. Rare ? Maybe, they are over 50 years old and many have been junked by now. They were okay for the corn of the era. The implement photos section here has a couple of photos of an unrestored one.

    O/T my new truck

Nancy, Talk to your local trucker performance buds, they can probably tell you what a minimum pressure would be for those shocks. I'm thinking 15-20 lbs and up it if loaded. On board compressor ?? That's a 1 ton and will never ride like a 1/2 ton or even as smooth as a 3/4.
