    baur angle grinder

When my 25 yr old Craftsman finally died of a shorted armature, I bought a Ryobi corded one. I also bought one of the $29.95 Bauer grinders for the very rough and abusive work. Both of these have the slide switch and are equally dangerous with that. The Ryobi is the most user unfriendly tool...

    John Deere 40 help needed

The oil pump has to be timed for the distributor to be timed right on those Dubuque engines. It takes a special tool as the drive tangs are offset on both items.

    Looking for a part

If it uses a Delco Remy starter/generator, I got one last month from Amazon to use. Put the model number from the tag on your s/g into a google search for a voltage regulator for that model. You can use either a 3 or 4 terminal regulator for it.

    Thompson's Water Seal?

I used one gallon, I put full strength down first coat then thinned it with minerals spirits 25% for the second application a few later after the first coat soaked in. The trailer is16' long by 84" wide.

    Thompson's Water Seal?

I use it on the treated southern yellow pine lumber floor on my 16' trailer, works good, but needs redoing about every 6 months or so to give the best protection. I apply it with a paint roller and it is $18 per gallon at Walmart here.

    Powerglide transmission performance

The 53 standard shift car had babbit rods and a plain 235 engine. The 53 powerglide cars had insert rods and a special camshaft that gave it a few more ponies under the hood to make up for the hydraulic slippage of the powerglide at times.

    K321 knocking

If you use a std bore head gasket with an oversized piston, the piston hitting the edge of the gasket that hangs over into the cylinder will make a knocking sound. I learned this the hard way once.

    Back up genny set

For many years we used an 8 Kw Winco/Dayton portable unit on a trailer that when needed I pulled up to the open carport and hooked it to a manual transfer switch in the service entrance cable to the house. As the years went by the load got to be more and more. In 2014 I bought a very nice low...

    Another B UPDATE

Kevin, y'all should have gotten the bush Hog mower too, as it is quite a rare and a very well built machine. The local MF dealer sold a couple of them around here and I worked on the transmission of one of them they are built like the proverbial "tank".
