    Extremly Disappointed in Mr. Thinker

Don 't forget that there is more than 1 mr. thinker, I think. I ' m still trying to figure out which Octane gasoline I should use in my John Deere 80 for the next tractor plow day. Just the other day I realized my Powershift transmission wasn't shifting well on 730 Standard, oh just more humor...

    Extremly Disappointed in Mr. Thinker

Mr. thinker is really a genius when it comes to J.Deere questions. What he meant in that first question was, he's telling you about a 630 Orchard is that there isn't any such thing as a 630 orchard. His sharp response to get a owners, or repair manual is always the best answer. The manuals would...

    more power for 820

I don t know about 730 pistons, it might not smoke buy it will rattle a lot. Look in Green magazine, or Two Cylinder .mag. Roger Marlin from Missouri, does puller pumps. There is another guy from Washington, also Denglers, they make puller cams. They can get you up to 120 plus H.P.

    4620 John deere

What do you think a safe h.p. Rating would be, to turn up the diesel pump on my 4620 . It runs good, doesn"t heat up, but I would like a few more ponies. I don"t know just how much it has now, but I will have to get dyno"d. Has anyone had a power shift that you can tell me about. Thanks, GW

Where do you live/ The serial number on a 80 will start out 8000????, 820's will start out 8200????, 8300????. Yes, the 820 and 830 have a few improovements, but it's only minor. I have all three, and truly enjoy all of them. I live west of Chicago, llinois. I will put some of my 80's on the...

    JD 80

I think it's a good idea. I have 4 and I would sell you one for him. I expo'd one 2 years ago for a friend of mine for his 80th birthday and he recieved his 80. The 80 will be a great investment because there are half as many as 820, and 830's. John Deere made 3500 were made and 250 exported,so...

    3020 plowing

I've had the same thing happen to me. I was plowing with a 730 Diesel with 66H.P. and pulling 3x16 semi-mount plow in 3rd gear and rolling right along. Several guys asked why I wasn't pulling 4x16's. My answer was this is a easy pull in 3rd gear, and 3rd is faster in this 730. It has the faster...
