    John Deere 5203 IPTO Slipping

    It may not be the clutch. Look at where the PTO lever mounts. On my 5203 that bolt gets loose and it acts just like a slipping clutch because it is not fully engaged. Greg

    John Deere 5205

    We have one and love it. Ours is a 2003 with 1700 hours. We use it haying. It's usually on the tedder but it is the primary backup for all of the other haying jobs. We have seven tractors and it is the one my wife chooses first. We have had to replace the fuel lines and clean the priming pump. Greg

    Kuhn 243 hp needs

    I run one with a JD5205 with about 48 pto hp. I have the impeller conditioner and set it to condition as agressively as possible. In heavy grass hay I can mow at 5 or 6 mph and uphill I might have to downshift one gear. Greg
