    Case Davis 30+4 not articulating

    Can anyone tell me what will cause a Case Davis trencher to not articulate? It will move back and foward but just not turn left to right. I broke a ring and pinion and had to replace that, I did take the sterring controls off to change it, and I think I have them back right. Thanks

    Rear end differential out of a case -davis trencher

    I got an old cable (that was buried in the ground where I was digging)wrap around the driveshaft. It wraps so hard that it did a clean break on the pinion where it goes into the rear end housing. now got to get a new ring gear and pinion.

    The guy I bought it from decided he wanted to restore the tractor from the ground up. He got it all tore down and then got busy with work and could not finish it. In the meantime, he needed a tractor and went and bought a new one. It is slowly coming back together.

    They are not blind threaded boreholes. They are always through holes I put a fine thread 1/4 by 20 bolt in them. the tractor is a 1961 and made in Detriot Mich. Thanks

    Thanks, that help a lot. Now if you don't mind me asking on the other side of the tractor can you tell me what goes on it. I took pictures of mine and attached them. Where I have inserted 3 gold bolts what goes there. Maybe one day I will have it together. Thanks again.
