What size tire for the front of a 4000 3cyl
Right now my 68 4000 has 7.50-16 on the front and seems to st way too high. Is the original tire a 6.00-16 for this tractor. -

986 IH Transmission problems
So I managed to get it apart and recover the park prawl and spring from the bottom. Is there any tricks to putting the cover back on with the linkage and such? :?:- glamb

Thanks for the info, mine has the auxiliary fuel tank on it as well, so I will have to take that off as well. I will give it a shot here shortly!- glamb

986 IH Transmission problems
I have a 986 IH tractor and the park prawl and shaft have been giving me trouble. The shaft has fallen down inside the transmission, and the tractor is locked in park! I think I need to remove the top of the transmission. Does anyone have any ideas? How do you remove the top plate?- glamb
