Hi all, Been awhile since I cruised these waters! My 1948 8N has NO oil pressure. I'm getting ready to drop the pan and get the oil pump rebuilt. Any opinions on where or who might be interested in doing the work? Appreciate any & all feedback! Thanks! Gunny in Iowa

Any idea of what size ball bearings I need for the 200 series elective control valve? The JDparts diagram doesn't show it or a part # for them or anything?

    6410 w/ 640 loader control valve help

I have a kind of similar issue, have a 1998 John Deere 6410 with 2 - 200 series remotes, bought it at an auction. The remotes aren't really "right" when you use them, the cables look good, they both feel like they are in a bind and "rough" feeling and have a short distance from forward to rear...

Joystick controls for a JD 158 loader on a JD 4430

This one is a different joystick setup than the very first one you showed isn't it? What's the difference? Wonder which would "fit" better in the 4430 cab? allen tennesseeland.com

Joystick controls for a JD 158 loader on a JD 4430

Thanks!!! I do understand the need to put in more and larger holes. Just kinda wondered which is best and "cheapest" I guess mainly, working on a limited budget. Also, just wondering again? Where did you get a diagram, part #, etc. for a joystick to fit that tractor when my JD dealer couldn't? I...

Joystick controls for a JD 158 loader on a JD 4430

OK, looks different in 2 pictures than what I was "seeing" before. Makes more sense now, is there not a cover to go over the "remote box" however? Wonder? Was it plumbed into a power beyond block? If it is slow I may need to do it the other way with a T? Sounds more complicated??? But sounds...

What more exactly joystick would you look for? Any links by chance? Some say a straight hydraulic joystick mounted in cab is OK too, versus cable? I have know idea, just asking?

Joystick controls for a JD 158 loader on a JD 4430

I can't get it in my head how this would all connect up and what goes where, looks like the joystick is too close to the couplers (maybe if it wasn't a cab tractor?), what are the 2 separate pieces for, etc.?
