3pt hitch arm chains too tight? (9N Ford)

The two brackets the chains attach to next to the PTO need to be swapped, left to right. The two holes closest together go up.

    Front End Loader

Front end loader off of 52 8N, don't know brand, ID Plate missing. Boxed frame with reservoir in left side of lower frame. Not the tube type (monkey bar). Seen pictures like it on here through the years, Wagner maybe. I don't know how to send pictures on here, have pretty good luck with...

    Inexpensive 2N clutch pedal

If you don't find you a pedal, here's what worked for me. Same as you, age, back, knees etc.. I drilled another hole in the seat spring about one inch forward of the front hole to move the seat back. added a 2x4 and 1x4 between the seat spring and top cover to raise the seat up. Shadetree...

    8n engine clicking

Wrist pins make a double knock each revolution, inserts/rod bearings make a sharp knock and mains kinda dull knock each revolution. Caryc and Old's recommendations dead on. Stethoscope a great idea, don't know why I never got one, just grabbed a screwdriver or rubber hose to listen to things.

    1948 8N rebuild progress

Agree with Hobo, leave the splash plate. Unless you just have to replace pinion bearing, leave it there. If bad, look at your picture with the PB, notice the notches, above the rivit on the bottom and the notch on top. I used a short handle four pound hammer sideways and short drift to drive...

Front distributor Ford 8n has no spark

Yes sir, if the breaker spring or condenser pigtail are actually touching the spring, power is going straight to ground not to points.

Also bend or cut the post cotter key, it's pretty close too.

Front distributor Ford 8n has no spark

The fourth picture to the right, the points plate retainer spring (hooks on each end) looks like it is touching the points breaker spring. If you rotate the retainer spring so the flat side is over that large rectangular hole in upper left and the open side (hooks) on the points side...

    47 8n hydraulic pump

You might try pulling the PTO shaft, loosen the pump then reinstall the PTO shaft and tighten up the pump while turning the shaft to try to keep things from binding up.

Oh My!! Front Axle Pin Replacement

Use Kroil, PB Blaster etc, Two pound hammer and drift hit it side to side, left to right on lower end to get it to twist in bore, when it moves just keep working it until you can move it with water pump pliars or pipe wrench and pull and twist at same time. When you get passed the radiator...

9N lift link rubs on axle trumpet?

I didn't use the right terminology above, I apologize. In the picture above that Woreout sent down by the PTO shaft cover on each side is the drawbar link check anchors (I called them brackets and limiter chains), there is a left and right. the two holes that are closer together go up, limits...

9N lift link rubs on axle trumpet?

Install/adjust your limiter chains. Clevis goes in upper hole of brackets mounted to PTO housing.

    1939 ford 9N smooth hubs

I have a tool box your welcome to. Don't know what year, came off a 44 2N motor. Front right dog leg has a hole for the choke, rear end is a 41 if I read the castings right. I can send you pictures tomorrow from my cell phone, don't know how on here. email [email protected], home phone...
