    PTO size

Just curious as to if anyone knows what the reasoning for the change from the smaller to the larger diameter PTO? I assume the change was in the late 30s or early 40s.

Mine ended up being a relay. My tractor would actually start and run once the relay was removed.

Need help figuring out what these are

I was thinking you could remove the screen on a hammer mill and get a rough chop on wetter material but I guess I was thinking of something else.

Need help figuring out what these are

I may still pick them up to dry corn. I can buy gravity bed loads of shelled corn right off the combine from my neighbor.

Need help figuring out what these are

Would wet corn stalks cause the mill to plug? Seems like I ve heard of people using the hammer mills for grinding green corn stalks.

Need help figuring out what these are

The second picture may not have shown. He described it as a corn grinder. Offer me both for $300. I was hoping to use the hammer mill to grind corn stalks and make some silage on a small scale. Here s the pic of the grinder maybe the link will work this time. https://i.imgur.com/ANmjLaQ.jpg

Need help figuring out what these are

I was looking to buy some an old hammer mill and what the guy says is a corn grinder. They both look old but I am unable to find a name plate on them to see who manufactured them. I was hoping with some pics maybe someone recognized them. Thanks [/url]https://i.imgur.com/ANmjLaQ.jpg...

    JD 521 loader supports

I really like it but I had a 36hp Mahindra before I got the 5105. The 5105 is a beast compared to it. I think it is geared a little high. When I go up the road with no load the tractor moves great on flat ground. Hitting any kind of an incline requires gearing down.

    JD 521 loader supports

Thanks for the help. From the looks of the 521 manual online mine has the later model stands. I hate to give over $100 a piece for them when I have a welder. I very seldom take my loader off but it would be nice when doing hay. Thanks again
