    Combine for a smaller farm

If you ask an IH guy they were great. ;) Everything about them is pretty poorly thought out if you ask me.

    Trailer recommendation

You better try to bolt on your spare in front of the shop so you aren't learning on the side of the road that all super duty bodied trucks (late 98 production and newer, 99+ model year) are all metric, both SRW and drw.

    cushion hitch

I have a Cody Cushion (out of Greeley Colorado area and no longer being built unfortunately) and it made the biggest difference but in doing so it felt less stable. it goes into my b&w. I have a shocker hitch on one of my goosenecks, it replaces the coupler.very happy with it. More rigid...

I vote F2 or M series Gleaner. I kinda hate axial flows. The processor itself I don't mind one bit but the chassis was definitely designed by the same idiots who built the 915.

    g1050

What's the full serial number and is it LP or diesel? A friend just bought a 1050 LP in Eastern Colorado, hopefully he'll have it running soon. I teased him that he needed to get it going because with current fuel prices it might be his most economical tillage horse. Lol

    UM5 sickle mower

Are any of you guys in Nebraska or Kansas by chance? Have a mostly complete mower id like a parts rig for, trying to get it set up on a friend's Z.

John Deere 50 series row head gathering belts

Hey all, I have a 653 that I attempted to use this fall, lots of chain oiling, rolling it over by hand with a 24" Crescent wrench before applying power, and then more oiling after applying power, thought I was good to go to the field, apparently not. lol I broke a chain and wadded it up bad...

    Fighting the combine…..

Have you been greasing both fittings on the mainshaft sheave on the right side? If not, that is why the pivot shaft bent. check the idler bracket for damage.

    $390 Gleaner F Adventure & Questions

A little late now, but figured id post anyway. If it has a belt driven governor, make sure and check oil in it, it has its own little reservoir. make sure and check transmission oil. If you dont have one already, get on ebay and get an original operators manual, and store the manual in the...

    Combine for a smaller farm

Sounds like the perfect farm for a decent F series Gleaner to me. Don't turn down a M series if the right one came along. It's the largest machine that will fit behind 4r30. if there is any chance of custom work yourself, the M series is a little more flexible as far as row spacing and header sizes.

    Combine for a smaller farm

The only reason the 7720 did so well was the 30.5 tires. What size was on the F and K you had? An F can have up to 30.5 also, and I guarantee a F and a 7720 on the same size rubber the F will go further in the mud. Only time a smaller combine won't do as well is if it doesn't have the...

    Trailer Tires

Look into Goodyear endurance. USA made. Not cheap, but definitely one of the better trailer tires I've used. As far as balance, I use beads, as the runout on the Chinese hubs and drums on modern trailer axles is bad enough to affect balance. The beads balance the whole assembly, weights just...
