    Thank you Jim. My tractor has a 3 speed PTO, so l’ll assume 3rd would be used for the snowblower. I’d like to keep my bucket on the tractor, and mount the snowblower on the back, then make an appointment for my sore neck.

    Thanks folks. As far as belts go, a lot of time and adjustments were made to line up all the pulleys, and the pulleys themselves were sanded smooth. One other thing about the motor. When I'm done mowing and shut id down, after about 3 seconds it backfires loud enough to be heard in the next town.

    Yes rusted! This was completely my ineptness. No excuses, as I heard the squealing, but didn't look in to it, as eventually it would stop. Poor maintenance on my part.

    Thanks folks. Appreciate the feedback. Wasn't sure why it went dead, but I did notice my fan belt was very loose when I opened the hood. Could be it was so loose it wasn't spinning the alternator I guess.
