    JD 1020 rockshaft linkage question

    The JD dealer wants $222 for the 3pt control lever shaft, part #AL60565, sub for #AL27221. I will check some salvage places. UPDATE: Found a few places much MUCH cheaper. Link I found used for $15, shaft I found aftermarket for $47. Thanks Tx Jim.

    Well Im just gonna have to guess, since the parts drawing shows link#2 as one piece, that the bent condition of the control lever shaft somehow made the stud come apart from the link. Since this is the first one ive seen, i have nothing to compare it to. JD sells them, about $150 for that one...

    Tx Jim, sure seems like you are right. There is a definite wheezing sound from one of the valves when its pushed in. But how to remove the snap ring that holds the valves in? Its recessed in so far, so not sure how it removes. Is there a pick or something i have to get behind it somehow...

    The control lever shaft is definitely bent at the pivot block, inside the housing, so that explains the difficulty in removing it. On the piston, is the back-up ring supposed to be a teflon split ring? I cant tell if its split on purpose, or actually broke there. The o-ring looks good...
