    8770 Transmission problem

We have a genesis 8770 with an intermittent transmission problem with 7th and 11th gear. On the up shifts to 7th but mostly 11th gear, nothing will happen and the readout will just show F and no gear. Down shifting and upshifting again will resolve the problem. Tractor has 3800 hours on it...

    Ford Tw15 Alternator won't charge

We have a problem with our alternator in our tw15. We put in a new Wilson alternator and new voltage regulator. When we start it up, the needle stays to the left. Alternator is reading same voltage as battery, around 12 volts, should be 14 when we have the tractor started. We get a 12 volt...

    5610s starter and relays

So do you think that it's just not getting enough 'juice' through the switch?

    5610s starter and relays

I have a 5610s that has intermitted issues. I turn the key and sometimes it just makes a loud click, which I assume is the relay. Turn the key a few more times and eventually the starter kicks in. Previous owners had stated they had the same issue, through some parts at it (don't know what)...

    tw25 steering valve

Thanks for the reply, Bern. It doesn't seem to bind, I just thought maybe it should turn farther. Makes sense though with the torsion bar.

    tw25 steering valve

Had a leaking seal that I replaced on my tw's steering assembly. I didn't mess with the shaft end at all. I took off the eight bolts on the endcap, carefully removed it, removed the seal retainer, and then replaced the seal. I took very good care in not moving the rest of the internals. I...

    3910 loader swap

Just thought I would show a picture from our 3910 project. Considerable wear on the threaded side. Fuzzy picture but it sort of shows over 1/4 inch of wear. Bought a new bolster, pin, and bushing. We actually ordered bushings from New Holland and A&I. The one from A&I was a better...

    4000SU to 3910 Loader swap

Followed Rod's advice and finally got around to jacking up the front end. Enough slop to make a difference. The pin was loose and came out easy. Is there suppose to be threads on the the back half of the bolster that the pin threads into? If so, my has wore quite a bit. Or is there some...

    4000su to 3910 loader switch.

Everything looks straight. It seems to me that if something hit it that hard, the casting would break.

Rods are not bent and there doesn't seem to be any measurable wear.

    4000su to 3910 loader switch.

Shaft isn't too short. The pulleys are identical, but are the blocks identical between the gas and diesel?

    4000su to 3910 loader switch.

Nothing appears to bent. And with the heft of the bolter directly bolted to the engine block, I really don't see how anything can get bent. When you look through the bolster hole, you can see that the bolt for the pulley is off center. I'm going to assume then that if engine isn't the problem...

    4000su to 3910 loader switch.

We've been working on switching our Ford made loader over from our 4000su to a 3910. Everything was bolting up until it came to the crankshaft pulley hub. The hub doesn't line up with the pipe in the bolster. It off by a good 1/4 inch. The bolster castings seem to be identical. Are there...

    front end spline shaft alignment

We switching our Ford loader from a 4000SU to a 3910. Everything so far bolts up but the spline hub doesn"t line up with the hole in the bolster by a strong 1/4 inch. The castings look to be very similar. Could the engine crankshafts distance be different from a gas block to diesel. I...
