Need help with generator and voltage regulator 71 Ford 3000 diesel.

Both F (Field) and D (Dynamo = Armature) have their ends connected to ground (case), therefore continuity to case and between themselves. I attached a PDF with information that may help. After you have connected everything, polarize the generator like this:

Help ID an elderly (1960s?) Ford diesel engine.

Yes, this is from a manual aimed for the US market (same number series for all markets). There are documents at this site, under "Technical information": https://www.fordsontractorpages.nl/ffcn%20web/index.html

Help ID an elderly (1960s?) Ford diesel engine.

I used this site for Fordson E1A Majors, the engine serial number was also the tractors serial number at the time: https://www.selen.nu/cgi-bin/trsnr.pl?lang=en I also attach a PDF with the numbers. 1314595 would mean October 1954, a 4D engine. Anything familiar in this video?

    Ford 7500 Tach/speedometer?

The resistor goes in parallel with the 12 V LED. An incandescent bulb for the charging warning light is 2 -3 W, which is 48 - 72 ohms. A 5 W resistor with 56, 62 or 68 ohms will suffice. It is a good idea to do that for an incandescent bulb as well. If the bulb blows, the alternator will work...

    Ford 3000 Serial Number

What I have found is that the early Basildon units came in one configuration per model, therefore there was no need for a model code. For a 3000: Agricultural all purpose, diesel, live PTO and eight-speed transmission. Code 31013C on a US built unit from the same date.

    Urgent help ford 3910

It is hard to tell from the photo, but the contact plate (P) for the wire from winding 1 may be contacting the battery stud (B) connector. If so, winding 1 would get power whenever you connect the battery. That should make the starter motor turn, but the drive gear would not be engaged into the...

    Ford 4000SU not charging

A quick and easy way to test the generator is described below. If the generator is not working as it should, check the brushes. If it works as it should and the wiring is in good shape, check the voltage regulator.

    5900 starter help

Sounds like one of these. One of the tabs (#3) is usually soldered onto the ends of the solenoid coils. That one should be used for the wire from the key switch (or starter switch). The other tab is internally connected to the first by a thin wire. If you connect the key/starter switch to that...

Moisture in the power steering system?

Mineral oil based ATF-A (or ATF Type A) mimics an old type ATF. This makes it less prone to embed water and make an emulsion (milky mixture that freezes). The water will make small droplets in the oil, most of them will sink to the bottom of the reservoir. Citroën cars with hydropneumatic...

Great news! So, the operator's manual is correct about the plug.

    Oil plug

I saw a video about a 3600 on the Tube. Is it possible that you have a level plug, but it is of the type in the left lower corner and it is hiding under the dirt?

    Oil plug

The tube and paper filter (part number 84277192) in question are for the return oil. Even without them, your system is cleaned as it should on the inlet side through the spin-on filter on the pump.

On the other hand, if the spring (#36) for the linkage, which I think is for bypassing the flow control valve when the lift is lowered, is fastened the same way as earlier model 3000 (see image), it could pull the pipe away so the nut is too far away to be reached with a pointed screw.
