Thanks for the input and the help. I have a lot of mechanical experience, just not in tractors.😂

    Ford Jubilee torque specs

I have an owners manual and a service training manual. Should have bought the one you mentioned. I think I am only splitting one tractor, one time ever. I just wanted to be very precise and get it just right. I do have a feel for tightening things, I owned a one man wire and sinker EDM shop...

    Ford Jubilee torque specs

I have been trying to find torque specs for our 1953 Jubilee. Does any one know the specs for the input shaft, the pressure plate and the bolts that hold the tractor at the split? I did find one source that said to start at 35 lbs then 65 lbs and then 85 lbs (twice for the 85 lbs) for the input...

Follow up from 2023 question about transmission and shifting problems with Ford Golden Jubilee

I am old as dirt and this is the first time for me as my wife inherited the tractor. I'm about ready to put it back together with new clutch kit and transmission seal. The thing is, I can't tell what caused the shifting problems form the old parts except the seal was really bad. Thanks for...

Follow up from 2023 question about transmission and shifting problems with Ford Golden Jubilee

I was thinking in terms of the bell housing is on one side of the split and the starter is on the other side of the split. I did remove it before the split but did not think of it that way. Thanks again.

Follow up from 2023 question about transmission and shifting problems with Ford Golden Jubilee

If you go up to my post with 5 pictures, the broken part was inside of the fourth picture from left to right. Maybe that is not a bell housing and I called it that incorrectly but the starter drive is not located there so I am just confused.

What in the heck is this broken part?

Ok thanks. I saw your other response.

Dang, it sure does. I found it inside and on the bottom of the bell housing. That can't be good. Thanks for responding.

What in the heck is this broken part?

I split my 1953 Golden Jubilee in an effort to fix an extremely difficult gear shifting. I already have a post on the topic. It is very hard to shift with tractor running. It will shift easily with tractor stopped (and it comes to a stop when I press in on the clutch when it is running)...

Follow up from 2023 question about transmission and shifting problems with Ford Golden Jubilee

What in the world is this? I just found it in the area the input shaft passes through. Looks like it broke and sprung apart.

Follow up from 2023 question about transmission and shifting problems with Ford Golden Jubilee

I finally got some more pics to load. I guess I'm asking if anyone can spot why the clutch was so hard to engage and disengaged based on anything in the pictures. The portion of the flywheel where the pressure plate was attached is covered with some kind of dark buildup. The bearing in the...
