    Square tires...OT

    Pull PTO shaft to make Pressure Relief Valve replacement eas

    how come one one suggests removing the pto shaft to replace the pressure relief valve?? It makes the job SO much easier!!! only caution I have, is to make sure you have a CLEAN place to lay it while it's out..keeping the bearings dirt free etc. only adds a few minutes to one end, but saves a LOT...

    8N carb max adjustment

    Dell's carb. adjustment instructions:I set the down-pointing mainjet to 1-1/2 turns and LEAVITT!!! then adjust the side-pointing idlemix for maximum idle rpms, NOT SMOOTHEST idle, MAX idle rpms.     Carb tweaking....

    Another "dumb" question....when starting/restarting.....should you have the throttle set at the idle position....half throttle...What?? Would throttle closed at start help draw fuel(more vacuum) easier?? This tractor is going to be a user, so I need to get it down to a science!

    Seemingly got everything squared away on my 9N.....carb is the last part. After 1st "rebuild" attempt....had both flooding and hard starting issues. Went back in, and as someone here suggested...the needle seat wasn't ALL the way in!!! Reset that, cleaned it all out once again, set float to spec...

New gaskets, but tightened em the second time I opened it up, because it was seeping gas a bit at the top/bottom gasket line...reset carb level to spec after it seemed to be leaking out the air inlet side after 1st...

    can a LOW float level cause this??

    Rebuilt carb on my 2N. Float WAS set closer to 3/16...sheet says set to 1/4 inch. Did so, NOW need to choke it to start,"cold", even on a 90 degree day! Hot starts REALLY suck.
