    Wiring Batteries and Starter

Thank you, all of the original wiring is missing out of mine and the current set up doesn't use it but I do have an electrical manual for it so I could likely check if it did originally. Thanks for letting me know!

    Wiring Batteries and Starter

This reply was extremely helpful as the push button start is what the previous owner wired it up to work as now! I researched a lot about electricity today and seems like everything you said is exactly what the guy was thinking as well. I think it is wired quite simply I just need to up...

    Wiring Batteries and Starter

The starter on my tractor appears to be a genuine Belarus part, in Russian lol. I did download a parts manual that shows the different starters it could have been built with and am certain that the starter on it now is a ST212-A. I do have a wiring manual for it as well (although the original...

    Wiring Batteries and Starter

I am assuming it must be 24v.. the batteries are out currently (we took them out to charge but they definitely need replaced, just old). After researching and then looking at the wiring again today the way it is currently wired I believe had the batteries were wired together and only one...

    Wiring Batteries and Starter

Just wanted to add, not sure how to edit post. We currently bypass the ground switch that a lot of Belarus had on the dash. Open to suggestions on whether or not we should wire that back in. I wasn't planning on it but would if someone gave me a good reason to.

    Wiring Batteries and Starter

For Belarus 520 No computers or sensors to get past Looking for info on how to build a simple circuit for starting the tractor. Uses two twelve volt batteries (I think in parallel? Still learning). None of original wiring is left.. we will figure out lights and other electronics later, for...

Beginner - Looking for basic safety advice

I am under 40 but I've been blessed with some amazing opportunities I can't pass up. There are still some areas where small farmers get by being a jack of all trades so they don't have to spend all their money on services and I'm trying to learn. Luckily my generation has all of this info...

Beginner - Looking for basic safety advice

Almost impossible when you own a Belarus double check it's in neutral and stand way back I mean.. chances are it's not gonna start anyways In theory that is great advice though and if you prefer to be totally safe, advice that you should follow for sure!

Beginner - Looking for basic safety advice

Lol fair enough.. I have quite a bit of experience as an operator so it's not exactly like I'm a total beginner. I grew up on a farm and also worked full time on one.. but they also had a mechanic hired to handle that stuff. My priority was cattle management. Mostly just want to know how to...

Beginner - Looking for basic safety advice

We had one my whole childhood.. they are definitely a different breed. We ultimately chose it because of the price (there are a ton around here for cheap, rural Canada where small farms 100 acres or less make up most of our communities) and because they can take quite a lot of abuse in our...

Beginner - Looking for basic safety advice

Hey, I'm new here. Long story but I am in the position where my little beef farm either has to get bigger and more self sufficient or sell out. I'm not working with much money, and I don't have many mechanical skills but I'm going to do my best to learn because I have no other choice (what...
