I got the engine fixed. the mechanic said the timing was off from when the engine was rebuilt and they never put in new points and they used carbon spark plug wires in the rebuild, the float was bad in the carb and a needle and seat needed to be replaced. engine starts and runs 100% better than...- harlow

I did a compression check on it 120 on one cylinder and 130 on the other, the motor was rebuilt and has about 15 hrs on it. I gave it a shot of starting fluid and all I got was some poping- harlow

I took the valve covers off and the valves are moving and I also checked the points and filed them and still will not start- harlow

I have a kohler 582 in my skid loader and the motor was rebuilt and I have about 15 hrs on it and I was using it the other day and I turned it off and about 5 minutes later i went to start it and it will not start it turns over but will not start.
