    So I got all of the parts to put my Bolster shaft back together today. The question that I have on the felt seal is whether I should soak it in oil before I put it back in or put it in dry and just oil the surface that contacts the shaft. Thanks

    That is what I thought. I just lightly hone cylinder #1 and have a end gap of over .035. I would bet that woul dnot be real good for a diesel with higher compression. What does it take to pull the sleeves on this engine? I have done them on a Super C but those were wet sleeves. Thanks
