    Kubota M9540 1000 RPM PTO

Hello, I'm looking at buying a Kubota M9540, and noticed it appeared to have a fine splined PTO shaft. Must be 1000 RPM PTO. I didn't notice a snap ring to switch the shaft around to make it 540 RPM. All the reference online states "1000 RPM PTO Optional" for the 9540. What is involved in...

    Ford Tractor hauler. Mistake..

Probably very few folks here buy brand new. I have a 2007 DC 3500 DRW with 53,000 miles on it. Still like new. Not even broke in yet. I'm selling it, because I don't need it anymore. Was over $40,000 when new, But I'd let it go for $20,000. There are lots of like new trucks out there, you can...

    Ford Tractor hauler. Mistake..

"I had a 94 Cummins 2500 and it was disappointing to say the least" "Dodge trucks are poorly made" I'd like to interject "were" in place of "are"...... A lot has changed in that 20 year span of time you're talking about there......

Black Snake chicken house and plastic eggs

I have used golf balls. I did kill the snake when I found him all stretched out trying to pass the golf ball, so I guess you could say it caused him to die.......

    OT- Golf cart trouble

Yep, I have experience with a 2 stroke air cooled engine that would gall and sieze. Turned out to be case gaskets leaking and allowing an air leak into the engine, resulting in too lean a mixture...

    Flood warnings

I was just commenting earlier today that I've not seen a weather pattern like this one we have today,,,,,a low pressure area coming from east to west bringing rain from the eastern states to Ok. and Tx....? Strange.

    OT- Golf cart trouble

Even with the correct gas/oil ratio, if it starts running lean, the piston will get too hot and gall like that. I would suspect a lean fuel/air mixture.

    OT dog hip problem

Our Lab pulled a muscle in his back a few weeks ago. After it happened, he would hold his head low when standing, and was in pain when moving or trying to lay down. Doc gave him some anti-inflammatory pills to take for 2 weeks. He got over it finally and is back to normal now. Really scared us...

    Chevy 454 Clik Clak update

The Cold Start Knock comes on about that mileage. New low mileage units don't have it right off the bat. Its probably something you will have from now on. All the vortecs I have owned and now own have it.

    john deere 466 round baler

Yep, they got rid of that crankshaft arrangement and now have the shaft with the spiral finger design, sure works a lot better, and the updated square pickup tines work much better, too. I really like that over the edge wrap.

    john deere 466 round baler

I have one that has way over 16,000 on the counter. The crankshaft does wear in sandy hay, then the teflon inserts wear and fall out, then the fingers fall off as Jim said. There's going to be wear on that crankshaft. Mine is worn out, but I keep making rolls with it by putting a SS hose clamp...

Yep, I'd trade some cracks for some of that rain.......

    O/T Any Phone Repair Guys?

Pretty freaky like some hits I have had. My last one took out my access point power supply, TV RF Power Booster, and knocked the crap outa the desk phone. (I don't know where that all could find common paths...) I removed batteries and power on the phone, brought it back up and it came back, but...

    O/T Any Phone Repair Guys?

Your house wiring, both AC and Telephone is copper, the surge comes in through the AC and the surge protector takes the hit, clamping the phone circuit. Not through the fiber service.

    O/T Any Phone Repair Guys?

If you have an old basic telephone set, take it outside to your phone box where your phone line comes into the house. Its called a Demarc. It should be a box containing a junction where the phone company's line connects to your house wiring. You should be able to disconnect your house wiring and...
