John Deere 4250 grinding when turning

The tires are the ones that I've had on there for at least 8-10yrs as it's how we bought it. Solenoid appears to be working correctly, but I also thought that it was NOT fully engaging or disengaging completely. Driveline appears to be good. I'm stumped

We have jacked it up, and checked the planetaries. The oil was clean when we pulled the plug. We didn't drain it, but the oil looked very clean. The driveline spun fairly easy in 2wd. Grrrr

Oil level was fine, didn't seem like it was bad or have any debris, but obviously I have not drained it. Let me ask you a stupid question. Hi Jim, we didn't R&R the axle housings. But the brakes and linings seemed quite good.

Jd 4250 P/S MFWD Euro. Sorry in advance for the long post.. We have owned this tractor for probably 10yrs. Roughly 11k hrs. Started slipping a little in the top 2 gears a few years back. Not all the time, so wasn't overly concerned. Then one day out of blue, while backing up, it started making...

    JD 265 Loader question

Is it possible to change the hookups from the older 265 loader to say a 'Euro/global" design? I have a New Holland w/loader and a 265 loader on one of our 4250's and I'd rather not have to buy all new attachments or 1 for each tractor, I'm thinking of converting the mounts on the Deere to the...
