    JD loader ?

Thanks mitch d. I'm going next week and take measurements. I have a bucket from a 265 loader and the 640 loader (I might buy it) has no bucket. I'm hoping to get it cheap enough. :)

    JD loader ?

I wonder if a JD265 loader bucket would fit on a JD640 loader? They both seem to have the same style of quick attaching brackets for attachments.

Up-date on losing all the forard speeds on 7400

Thanks tech 7. That's good to know. I'm hoping I can get some hours on the 6400 before it needs anything.

Up-date on losing all the forard speeds on 7400

Thanks for the inside info on the newer series tractors. I just bought a 6400 and I like it more than I thought I would. The motor starts up quick and runs like a sewing machine. The PQ trans shifts real smooth. I wish I had gotten one sooner.

    JD rear svc help

I bought a JD 6400 today. When I got home, I tried one of the rear remote svc levers (nothing hooked up to it) and it would shoot hyd fluid out from the front of the coupler. It could have been coming out of the little tube sitting on top of the coupler. Does this sound like a bad O-ring? I...

Pros Cons 359T vs 404 engines

We have used over the years an early 4050 with the 466 and a late 4050 with the 359T to run a big bushhog to cut some very thick places. During a wet year it would be so thick, it was hard to even walk in. The 466 had more low end power, as you could throttle through the thick places where the...

Where can i get bearing and be sure to get quality US made?

I got lucky when I bought a JD drain valve and the box said made in Mexico. I thought it ALL came from China these days. JD and many others are just middle men these days when it comes to parts.

    JD rear wheel weight question

You might be right. We have a 4020 tractor with bolt on rear weights but these are wedge type weights or they are real heavy axle wedges. My father must have bought them at a auction with plans to use them for something. He passed away in 2005.

    Another Dealer Gone

Yeap, they have a take it or leave it attitude now on them high priced parts. The local big corp JD dealer used to stock 2.5 gal jugs and 5 gal jugs of oil, antifreeze now they always seem to be out but are quick to sell the little quarts. I ask them when are they going to get some bulk...
