    1997 F350 7.3 Losing Oil Pressure

Excessive clearance (wear)in the main engine bearings will cause an oil pressure drop upon acceralation, depending upon the engine. I once had owned a '58 Mercedes Benz 220S (six cylinder)that started doing the same thing after turning around 250,000 miles...Upon accerlation combustion forces...

    Hydraulic cylinder repair or replace?

As a former hydraulic actuator (cylinder) technican (mechanic), I'm here to tell you that the gland and probably the barrel should be replaced. If you just replace the packing (seals), you will probably blow the gland out of the barrel, once the pressure is restored, resulting in a total loss of...

    O/T I AM NOT AMUSED!

My 86 year old father-in-law has a snake phobia that will eventually be the death of him. He says he's doing the "lords work" (he is very religious) by killing or trying to kill every snake on his property (160 acres). About a week ago he saw a black snake (it got away), but he's been...

    1953 8N Ford Tractor

Maybe I'm missing something, but I believe that all Ford "N" series tractors (9N, 2N, 8N) did not have a solenoid. They had a push-type starter switch on the transmission cover next to the gear lever. What I think you have is a "NAA".

    CLOSE CALL /almost ACCIDENT

You're supposed to signal your intentions, that is the law here in NC (failure to render proper signal) and also in probably most other states. During my time as a LEO I investigated several accidents caused by individuals not properly signalling. Don't signal what you don't intend to do, it's...
