Thanks all, I think it is fixed, First I did adjust the governor that helped a lot. I was having a hard time finding timing mark, but I finally did and changed timing. but still had more surging than I wanted. I turned the main jet in to on half turn from all the way in. I started heavy bush... -

Thanks Sean, today I mowed with the governor disconnected, the carb was connected to the tractor throtal and it ran fine. so I am going to first try adjusting the governor linkage and if that is not the fix I will look up how to replace the Governor. -

The tractor will work Ok for about 20 minuets after adjusting the new carb main and idle valves. This started as soon as we tried using the tractor a few months ago, sat most of the LONG winter. So at this point I have a new carburetor, points, plugs, cap and rotor. I bought a good vacuum gauge... -

Ford 600 tractor, I can not rotate my distributor its stuck
Well a few days of Liquid wrench and a few more taps it came loose. Back to normal, need more Liquid Wrench! Thanks all -

Ford 600 tractor, I can not rotate my distributor its stuck
I am trying to get or see if I can see a timing mark with the timing lite. Also I have rapid vacuum fluctuating 8 to 16 inches, this can be head gasket and or timing is off. Thank You -

My ford 600 has 3 speed transmission anyone have that trans?
AH I must have a 4 speed based o the photo from michford (thank you) I guess they only used 4 dimples not counting reverse. Thanks everyone! -

Hello, I am trying to learn as much as I can about this old Ford 600 tractor, 600 because the hood says 600! I have a shot manual for it and is says there are two manual transmissions, a 4 speed and a 5 speed. So I am trying to see if anyone has a 600 3 speed. Thank You. -

Ford 600 tractor, I can not rotate my distributor its stuck
Hello I am trying to fix up an old ford 600 tractor. I wanted to adjust the timing, I loosened the two hold down bolts, but the distributor wont budge. I tried to see if I can bump it up using a hammer and piece of wood, wont budge. Anyone have an idea what I should do? Thanks everyone.
