Vanguard 35hp no vacuum pulse from manifold
The pulse is very weak You probably will not feel it with a finger. The best I remember its 3 to 5” of vacuum and probably less than 3”. That’s enough the see a vacuum gauge wiggle. Freeze Plug Corrosion Question
This is not rocket science. Take the plug out of the package, apply a sealer, and drive it home. I want to feel the plug go in. I do not like the feel of “too easy”; if it’s easy, I have my doubts. I prefer a deep plug because there’s less chance of error. YMMV. -

1951 Ford 8N Flywheel Cracks
"unsafe to run the tractor in this condition" It’s the norm to see heat cracks where the disc runs on the flywheel. Your cracks I dunno I will say cameras have gotten good I spec in the past we did not see those cracks.- Hobo,NC

I think the pump has to come apart its a straight foward job not much to it. Order a seal kit and replace seals and o-rings. There is noting thats gonna bit you : ) -

Engine stand adapter plate for the ford 8N
I over complicate things. I wanted full access to the rear of the crankshaft plus get the engine up higher to work on. I used a treaded transfer screw set to transfer to a 1/4" plate.- Hobo,NC

Head condition
I showed this to my guy I value his opinion very much. He said you can hope they can install a seat with a wider O.D. but be doubt there was room for it. Up next weld it up and cut for a another seat. He said cutters don't like this its hard to do. The next option is to spray weld it he does not... -
