    you guy's don't actually plow 3-6 inches of snow, do you" my wifes minivan will drive through that. we don't plow until it's at least 12". calling for 24" tonight.

    7.3 powerstroke

    7.3 is NOT sleeved, virgin bore just like the cummins. they should easily last 500,000. i just got rid of mine with a little over 300,000 mile on it. it spent 2/3's of it's live cranked up to 500hp. and still started/ran like a top. just couldn't keep tranny's in it, and the body was rotting away.

    super H camshaft

    i'm in the beginning process of rebuilding the engine in my w-4. i figured while i'm at it i would update some of the parts. i'm trying to find a cam out of a super H to drop in it, figured it would complement the stepped pistons nicely. problem is i can't seem to find a super H cam anywhere...

    w-4 with knock, need suggestions

    well looks like it's time for a overhaul. journal measured out at 2.43, but they're not all torn up. look like original std size bearing's. i can easily move the piston up and down inside the sleeve. matter of fact it will slide down the cylinder under it's own weight, if left for a few seconds.

    how does the h shifter attach? does it attach similiar to a w-4. is it basically a straight chunk of metal. i'm looking for a different shift lever for my modded w-4 and would like something that comes up straight. i was going to take a chunk of 3/4" id tubing and make up a shift lever but...

    thanks for the tips all. i am currently working on getting the jet drilled out (my fingers hurt :o ). i've got a tap ordered from mcmaster-carr. now i need to get a overhaul kit. the only one i can find on this site say's it's for the h/w-4 but lists carb number 50981 DA, but my carb is a 50981...

    i had to take my carb apart on my w-4 as the float had a hole in it. while i had it apart i realized that the carb was absolutly filthy. with what looks like sand setting in the bottom, almost 1/4" thick. so i decided that i would take it all apart and give it a good cleaning. all was going well...
