    Local dealer didn't have one in stock to measure hole size and after market people didn't want to walk back to warehouse and check to see hole size on it. And my parts book does not give pin sizes or part number just a kit to rebuild one. Thanks for the reply.

    Hard starting backhoe

    All new parts in the head, day even switched out injector pump from another engine with hopes it was a bad rebuild on injector pump. Have checked compression it is 325, book on it calls for 300 psi. I am hoping few more hours of run time will help. Thanks for information.

    How likely is it that may 584 will start in cold weather

    I have a 584 will start ok with out starting fluid till it gets around zero, anything lower then that needs small snort of starting fluid, but living in Kentucky that is not a problem most of the time.

    John Deere 310 speed

    For a 310 john deere sounds about right in fourth gear low side just above a fast walk, trust me I know own one and it is still out working every day. One of the best hoes that john deere made.
