Need help identifying my Ford tractor
Wow JoeM, you are all over this! I was way off track, in the farm tractors and wrong decade. One question I have now after looking at some lists with the info you gave, how did you come up with 231A instead of 230A? The lists I'm seeing are not showing a 231A, just a 231 built from 1975-1978...- HuskerHath5

Need help identifying my Ford tractor
The photo shows the plate under the hood and the numbers all match the stamped numbers on the clutch housing. The model number is throwing me for a loop according to what I've read about how to decode it. It seems as though the code would suggest a 2000 series but the L3 throws me off.
