    Starter ring gear removal...MAP gas??

    I tried unsuccessfully to install a ring gear using MAP gas. Sent it to my dads shop with a rosebud torch. Perhaps it could be done, but after 15 minutes of applying heat with the MAP gas, I was ready for plan B.

    That's great, I haven't seen that version of tractor myth-busters before. I guess you really can't believe everything you read on the internet :lol: I estimated there was 1-2 gallons of water in the transmission housing so it may be time to check that felt gasket.
