    John deere 50 clutch noise

    I have a 520 that had a noisy clutch while disengaged. You couldn’t slip the clutch to move the tractor just a little bit as it was really “grabby”. When we took it apart the bearing was really bad. A new replacement and careful adjustments it is good as new.

    I didn’t know him personally but watched him pull his IH 966 for many years with, I believe, the Outlaw circuit. The long time announcer, George Hendrickson, often commented that Richard Cool was so easy going that it took him 90 minutes to watch “60 Minutes”. RIP Richard Kool.

    i dont know how it happened but 2025 was my 40th crop. retired pork producer. still raise corn, soybeans, alfalfa, hay and feed some cattle to market. Fourth and fifth generation generation on various tracts that i operate. Cant imagine doing anything else.

    I don’t believe the tach that the OP is talking about could be for a 720/730 because he mentions a five speed trans. While those two tractors had a six speed.
