Is New Holland and Ford the same? I would have never thought to look up New Holland. I'm also very new to the tractor scene :D

    I can't find a Power Stearing Filter for '61 Ford 641

I could but mine is completely plugged up. I can't even blow high pressure water or air through it. The piece that broke off is probably what caused my to seize up to begin with. Sean in PA came up with the correct part #. How do you do that? JoeM(GA) found the website. I just got off the...

    I can't find a Power Stearing Filter for '61 Ford 641

From what I can find, used pumps sell for around $600. There has got to be a way to fix what I have on hand already. I am looking at the '57-59' parts book and the guy that sold me the tractor thought it was a '57 so it makes sense why it is on there I guess.

    I can't find a Power Stearing Filter for '61 Ford 641

Everywhere I go online and at the local tractor stores or Napa are all trying to sell me the screw on type " AE33538A" The part number I need is #33538, shown in the pictures. I know they do not make mine any more but is there a work around that any body has tried? I'm thinking a in-line...

Let's see your working tractors :)

My 1961 Ford 641. Equipped with a 2005 operator. Back blade and snow blower attachments. Great tractor but gets stuck on the soft dirt and hills too often.

1961 Ford 641 power steering pump rebuild question

I guess I asked the million dollar question. Looks like I stumped the good people of this forum. Grandapa is down in the shop for two days trying to make a jig. You can't tell him a dam thing so I'm letting him be. Boy is he making things harder than they need to be though....lol.

1961 Ford 641 power steering pump rebuild question

Hi, My power steering pump seized up over the winter so I pulled it apart this weekend thinking I was replacing the bearing. Ends up the cylinder block chamber had some foreign metal in it and it seized up against the housing. I have it all cleaned up but I am unable to line the tubes...

1961 Ford 641 Reverse Fork Reapair

Well Sean....I didn't have enough gas....as that was the problem. I figured this out after the fuel delivery system got a good cleaning. I slapped myself on the forehead had a good laugh and that about your reply. Now I need a gasket for the bowl. All I had today was some make a gasket and that...

1961 Ford 641 Reverse Fork Reapair

LOL..No offense taken. I thought the same thing. Plenty of gas. I was reading the shop manual last night and there is a screen in the sediment bowl housing to the carb. With any luck all I need to do is clean that up and I should be able to get gas to the carb again. If that doesn't work I'll...

1961 Ford 641 Reverse Fork Reapair

Ok I got the tractor back together. Reverse works now. However now it will not start  This thing has never not started. Matter of fact it was starting during the repair. I tested the reverse gear before I fully assembled it. Then when I was done tractor fired right up as always and I was...

What I meant to say was I got my TIG welded. Glad I got to say that before the bashing began about the Heliarc statement.

1961 Ford 641 Reverse Fork Reapair

Thanks Sean. That is some great info and web resource. Can't believe I never stumbled upon that site with all the searching I been doing. Dang.....for $359 I would have one machined. I got mine heliarc'd today, $35. Seems pretty solid. I put it in my vice and even hit it a bit with the...

1961 Ford 641 Reverse Fork Reapair

Don't forget the drill and tap. If I can not get a new/used one or this one repaired. I may have to make my own. Or pay someone as I don't have the proper tools to get it done. I can make one out of wood....... I've been reading too that the brazing process should be allowed to cool very...
