    Property taxes?

Let's see, Upstate, NY 2100 sqft house, 30x60 dairy barn in kinda rough shape and 30x75 pole barn on 48 acres. School tax $7400 plus town/county tax $3400 puts us right about screwed. I mean, right about $10,800.

    How far is it??????????

I usually run into direction trouble from the other end. I frequently have to give directions to the plant to truck drivers coming in to load. It's about as easy as you can possibly get. "When you come out of the toll booth on the highway you are at a T-intersection with a stoplight. Turn...

    Hydraulic vs Gearbox?

Since you stated that you have the motors on hand already that makes that part of the cost irrelevant. It [i:924dee987a]could[/i:924dee987a] work [b:924dee987a][i:924dee987a]IF[/i:924dee987a][/b:924dee987a] you had the rest of the setup. The problems as have been pointed out are capacity...

    Question

Never had a need for it but AGCO lists a "Heritage" line of parts for all of their orphan equipment. http://www.agcoparts.com/HeritageLine/ Maybe they'll list something?

    Re: OT,NY hitch law

I did find though that there is a law against coasting in your vehicle on the road. :? Seemed strange, don't know how they would prove it.

    OT,NY hitch law

I also (usually) pull mine so it doesn't rust in but I've been searching the NYS Assembly site for bills and the NYS laws and the NYS DMV site and can't find anything regarding trailer hitches at all. I did however find numerous references to this "new law" going back several years in an...

The Wrath of Donley's Radiator Shop

You may make out in court on the job they failed to do as long as you can prove that it wasn't done properly as agreed to, but I doubt the judge will do anything about your truck. He will most likely just say that the shop had nothing to do with you reusing gas you knew was bad in it.

    Anti-Seize on Lug Nuts

I always put a little anti-seize on the lugs and I paint it onto any part of the hub that contacts the rim. I've never had a lugnut loosen up on me but I still check them every once in awhile just in case out of habit. I've been checking lugnuts occasionally to make sure they're tight...

Sales Call Etiquette: Was I Wrong?

The ones that really torque me are the ones that come up to the house "Do you want to sell that (tractor, rake, snowmobile etc.)?" and when you tell them no they start the "Well why not, it's just sitting there in the weeds.". I had a guy one day stop and say "Do you want to sell that tractor...

    Shocking Trout!!!!

I did that when I was at SUNY Morrisville in '97-'98 taking Conservation. Stuns the fish so you can sample the streams population and their sizes. You can figure out a lot of information regarding the carrying capacity of the stream. I was running the probe in one class and there was this...

    Luedtke thrower

Thanks alot, that'd be great. I tried to PM but it says that it's under construction. I think you can get to my e-mail through the profile page now. Our system here should handle the size if you wouldn't mind e-mailing it, then I can just print it here. Whatever is the easiest for you though...

    Ford 530 needles

I actually do have a parts baler and wouldn't you know it, the needles are the ONLY thin missing! I'll check the things you suggested, thanks. Will

    Ford 530 needles

Anyone have a pair of needles for a Ford 530 baler they'd be willing to sell? I can get new ones for $245 each but I hate to put $500 into a baler I only gave $700 for! We can probably weld one if I can find one, but the broken end is missing from the other. I'll probably find it with a tire...

    Luedtke thrower

Sorry that's a T-500 thrower. Someone painted over the stickers on it and they're hard to decipher. I guess a thrower manual isn't that importanat right now anyway since both needles broke today.
